National black cat day is recognized on October 27, 2021.
The day aims to promote the importance of black cats in society as they are often regarded as animals that are of “bad luck.”
The special day is always celebrated on October 27, just four days before Halloween to promote the importance of adopting black cats.
The idea that black cats were “unlucky” and evil originated in the 13th century.
