Hi crafty friends It's day 8 of LeighSBDesigns 31 Days of Halloween Hop!
I'm sharing a coffin bookcase made with cardstock. I got the template years ago from my blogging friend who was I think a master Halloween creator. Her makes were incredible!!
I used Tim Holtz products mainly and other found objects & materials from my Halloween stash.
I printed out the template on standard size cardstock paper, cut out the pieces and adhered each to heavy 110 weight black cardstock on both sides with craft glue.
I used glossy accents as an adhesive to build frame-holding pieces in place. I let dry overnight. Adding more glossy accents as needed the next day. Coating everything with mod podge to seal.
Putting in the cardstock shelves with more glossy accents. And adding more matte mod podge to adhere & seal Halloween paper on back & sides of Coffin.
The base stand was an ATC card blank papered with heavy weight black cardstock on both sides & mod-podged.
Then it was time for the fun part, embellishing!!
I found an orange tiger eye marble in my yard and that became a crystal ball. Everything was adhered down with glossy accents or E 6000.
Fibers and salt were put into potion bottles & lids were sealed with glossy accents. Little pumpkins came from Michael's craft store
Netting material, black yarn and cobwebs from stash.
Embellishing shelves with Tim's Halloween Ephemera Papers, Potion Bottles, Skulls, Drippy Candles & Mini Books. (I put the little books together while watching Tim's how-to video!) They were mini book templates in his Halloween ephemera pack; I used those and cut printed paper strips to make the book pages.I think I covered everything I did to make this Coffin Bookcase! Stay Creative. Tee
