Make My Monday- Monotone

Hello crafty friends, it is Monday & time for a new challenge @ Make My Monday!

Theme: Monotone

On my card I used a mulberry color heavy cardstock, a scallop card die and Simon Says 'Delicate Blooms' embossing folder. Running over the embossing with calico white ink in a small cube, which gave me more control on where I wanted the ink to land. I went over the embossed blooms a few times with the white until I was happy with the results.

Finishing with a stamped Waffle House 'Paper Hugs Sentiment' inside card.

Come on over & share your Monotone projects with us!

LeighSBDesigns 31 Days of Halloween Hop Day 8

Hi crafty friends It's day 8 of LeighSBDesigns 31 Days of Halloween Hop!

I'm sharing a coffin bookcase made with cardstock. I got the template years ago from my blogging friend who was I think a master Halloween creator. Her makes were incredible!!

I used Tim Holtz products mainly and other found objects & materials from my Halloween stash.

I printed out the template on standard size cardstock paper, cut out the pieces and adhered each to heavy 110 weight black cardstock on both sides with craft glue.

I used glossy accents as an adhesive to build frame-holding pieces in place. I let dry overnight. Adding more glossy accents as needed the next day. Coating everything with mod podge to seal.

Putting in the cardstock shelves with more glossy accents. And adding more matte mod podge to adhere & seal Halloween paper on back & sides of Coffin.

The base stand was an ATC card blank papered with heavy weight black cardstock on both sides & mod-podged.

Then it was time for the fun part, embellishing!!

I found an orange tiger eye marble in my yard and that became a crystal ball. Everything was adhered down with glossy accents or E 6000.

Fibers and salt were put into potion bottles & lids were sealed with glossy accents. Little pumpkins came from Michael's craft store

Netting material, black yarn and cobwebs from stash.

Embellishing shelves with Tim's Halloween Ephemera Papers, Potion Bottles, Skulls, Drippy Candles & Mini Books. (I put the little books together while watching Tim's how-to video!) They were mini book templates in his Halloween ephemera pack; I used those and cut printed paper strips to make the book pages.

I think I covered everything I did to make this Coffin Bookcase! Stay Creative. Tee

I then colored the butterflies & flowers with Gelatos watercolor crayons & did some highlighting with orange, purple & turquoise Gelly roll pens.

Make My Monday/Embossing (Wet or Dry)

Hi crafty friends, time for a new challenge over @ Make My Monday! The new theme is Embossing Wet or Dry.

On my card I did both using the Bold Branches embossing folder from Simon Says and heat embossed the sentiment from Stampendous Friendly Phrases using Ranger's embossing ink pad with liquid platinum embossing powder.

Using a black card panel, I ran a Versa Color white ink pad over my embossed image a few times. Heat embossing my sentiment also on black cardstock, cut out & adhered to card. Added red stickles to bird's eyes.

Letting everything dry & then brushed over card panel with some matte Modge Podge to seal and add some texture.

Finishing card with a few HoneyBee gems.

Hop on over link up & share your embossed projects with us!

Thanks for stopping. Stay Creative. Tee

Happy Birthday Embossed Christmas Roses

Hi crafty friends, here is a card I made for my mother in laws upcoming December Birthday. I used one of the beautiful Spring Splatter papers from Simon Hurleys collection, that I embossed with the 3D Christmas Roses from Crafters Companion.
I tried to continue the pretty colors of the paper by using some metallic Gelatos in melon, blueberry, mint & pear to add some subtle color and sheen to the roses & leaves.
Happy Birthday script dies are from Memory Box.
