Hey friends I'm guest designing over @ The Dream Factory today! They always host some great challenges based on fun movies! The new challenge theme is Candy Cane Lane & Anything Christmassy Goes! Inspiration for the challenge can come from the poster or something else in the film.

Agent 105713

Hey crafty friends, I decided to get a little inky today with Dylusions shimmer sprays & Tims distress inks. First, I started with Stamperia's mystic forest designer paper & embossed with Spellbinders flowers & leaves. I sprayed over the embossed panel with Dylusions shimmery lemon zest & polished jade.

Using We R Memory Keepers scalloped frame card die that was also sprayed to match card panel. I took green stickles and applied it lightly & wiped it all over with a paper towel, creating a subtle sparkle.

Next, I stenciled on an oval die & stamped the gentleman from Tim's herringbone Vintage Mixed Media Postal stamp & stencil set.

Applying mustard seed & peacock feathers distress inks on the oval to tie in the colors of the background. I had a small strip of scrap paper I added along with a leaf die cut also sprayed with shimmer sprays.

I finished embellishing with a green gem & tiny flower die on hat, completing card with Tim's curiosities stickers.

Everything was adhered with Nuvo's clear drying glue.

Christmas in July/Match Girl

Hi, crafting friends, I love this little Match Girl & Christmas saying from Mo's Digital Pencil. I colored this sweet girl and background with alcohol makers and added a bit of snow with a white Gelly roll pen.

This is the sad little story I read about her...

The story goes:  On a freezing New Year's Eve, a poor young girl, frozen, shivering, bareheaded and barefoot, unsuccessfully tries to sell matches in the street. Afraid to go home because her father would beat her for failing to sell any matches and not earning even a single penny, she huddles in the alley between two houses and lights matches, one by one, to warm herself.

In the flame of the matches, she sees a series of comforting visions: a warm iron stove, a lovely roasted goose, and a great glorious Christmas tree. Each vision disappears as its match burns out. In the sky, she sees a shooting star, which her late grandmother had told her meant that someone is on their way to Heaven. In the flame of the next match she sees her late grandmother, the only person that ever treated her with love and kindness. To keep the vision of her grandmother alive as long as possible, the girl lights the entire bundle of matches she had.

When the matches are gone, the girl freezes to death in the cold weather, as her grandmother carries her soul to Heaven. The next morning, passers-by find the girl's body with a smile on her face, and express pity. They do not know about the wonderful visions she had seen or how happy she is with her grandmother in Heaven.

MMM/Something Fishy

Hello, It's Monday & there is something fishy going on @ Make My Monday! Come join in the fun & see what the design team has made to inspire you!

For my cards background I started with a stencil from my stash, then added some color with distress inks.
I used the seaweed, littles fishes & sentiment from Impression Obsession Angel Fish stamps that I stamped with blue, purple & black inks. But the big fish is from Tim's Idea-ology layering engraved die cuts, that I colored with markers.
I did some highlighting with vivid blue & purple Gelly Roll pens, finishing card with some HoneyBee gems.
