My Sweet Love...

 Hello crafters! Today I made a cupcake with strawberry creme icing, topped with a chocolate fudge dipped strawberry! Yum..

 Tags inspiration came from Tagplorations February Challenge All About Love-(optional twist cupcakes!) The cupcake is a free digital image offered by Stamplorations/Shery Russ. Colored with markers, some glossy accents to highlight the fudge and fussy cut. 
Tags background is designer paper splattered with red & yellow acrylic paints, some doodling with a brown marker and sweet- love & little heart die cuts painted red. Finished with some red tulle for tags hanger.

The Wonder of Flora

Tag was colored with peeled paint distress paint. I also used peeled paint to stencil on a vine pattern in the background. Stamping was done in black archival ink, and colored with markers. I didn't like the muddy color of my first stamped butterfly, so I changed it up by stamping and coloring another one on card stock, cutting it out and adhering it over the first one. I distressed some crinkle ribbon with the peeled paint too to create a bow for the tag.

Let The Pink Pastels In!

I have been admiring the Julie Nutting doll stamps for some time, and I finally got one to play with. This one was gorgeous but a little small when it comes to fussy cutting!
 I did try something new (for me), I stamped the doll on designer paper & cut out just the dress part so I didn't have to color that, and I love the effect.

Blossom Like A Butterfly Tag

 

 

  I colored my tag with scattered straw & fired brick distress paints. Stamping with Stamplorations Blossom Like A Butterfly Stamp Set. I also added a couple of smaller butterflies from another stamp. All stamping was done in royal blue ink. Adding some sparkle with Studio G glitter glue in light blue. Finishing tag with a yellow button tied with a raffia bow.

Mixed Media Tag- Be Kind

 I created my tag with a digital stamp from Oddball Art Stamps - Icky Izzy & Un-dead Ted
Izzy & little Ted was colored with pencils and adhered to a large manila tag. I applied blue and green inks with a finger dauber. I cut another un-dead Ted sitting on the branch for her to hold.
 I added a few dots with the dots fade stencil at bottom of tag.
"I am different" was printed from my computer.
Chip board letters were colored with red ink and adhered with tacky glue. Tag was distressed with burnt umber ink, and finished with a coat of matte medium to seal.
Izzy is a little different so be kind...

Make A Wish Tag

I created my tag by dabbing the background with metallic gelatos in silver ice, blueberry, grape and- distress paints in brushed pewter and peeled paint.
Stamping with Tim Holtz stamps, and black archival ink. Using brushed pewter distress paint and metallic grape gelato to outline and distress tag.
Finishing with a satin bow also colored with the brushed pewter distress paint.

There is Beauty in Simplicity-Mixed Media Tag

I colored my tag with rusty hinge,vintage photo, scattered straw, and red brick distress paints. I applied a tracks stencil with picket fence distress paint.
Stamping was done in black archival ink. I colored the crown, sun, word beauty, and butterflies with a tropical sun colored marker.
Tag was distressed with burnt umber hybrid ink. Tea dye distress stain was used on seam binding ribbon for tags hanger.

Using rusty hinge, broken china, and red brick distress paints for my trio of colors on this tag. Stamping everything with black archival ink.
 I splotched some picked fence distress paint here and there to give it a distressed/old  look. Tag was outlined with the red brick distress paint.

Mixed Media Butterfly Tag

 I colored a large manila tag with red brick and rusty hinge distress paints. Stamping sentiment, music notes, words and butterfly with black archival ink. A red pencil was used to color some of the butterflies wings.
 Lace piece for tags holder was colored with the red brick distress paint too. Tag was distressed with burnt umber hybrid ink, and red brick distress paint.

Tims 12 tags of 2016-May

This tags inspiration comes from Tim's 12 tags of 2016-May.

I tried to follow along the best that I could with the supplies I had.
Tim's tags are always so creatively done and full of texture, and he makes it look so easy that who wouldn't be inspired to try them. So I thought I must have a go at it!
Using distress inks, some stamping, stencils and texture paste to start with, I then found some images to work with that took place of the lady rose stamp and spoon that I didn't have, and started to play!
 I used a  cherish charm  and attached it with a small pin to the lace. Masked image and spritzed with Tarnished Brass paint mixed with water. Finished the tag with tea dyed seam binding.

Butterflies & Blooms Tag

I created my tag starting with a pretty pink pattern paper by lost & found.  Using Stamplorations Happy Flowers Stencil and distress paints to stencil in the stem and flowers. Stamping the butterfly, lady bug and happy day sentiment with black archival ink.  Colored the top yellow and bottom of tag green with craft markers.
 My butterfly and little ladybug was colored with an orange marker and then orange stickles. Orange stickles was also added to the center of each flower.

Outlined whole tag with Red Brick distress paint. Matte medium was used to seal and finish tag.

Happy Flowers Stencil Tag

My tag was inspired by Cornelia at Stamplorations- stenciling on patterned paper, masking and moving your stencil around to fit in the flowers.
I also used her tip on using washi tape to hold down the stencil so it doesn't shift while your working with it.
