Mixed Media Sunflower Tag

Water coloring with Gelatos for this tags background.
I prepped tag with a matte medium first and added a small strip of news print for interest. I colored over some of the tag with cream acrylic paint
Then I used metallic Gelatos and added water right over the top with a water brush creating a watercolor effect.
Stamping with SSS  jet black archival ink and Hero Arts sentiments. Randomly stamping with T.H. music notes, and tiny stars from my stash.
Sunflower from Stamplorations Stamps was colored with markers and diluted with a water brush, cut out and attached to tag with tacky glue.
Seam binding was colored with Gelatos and misted over with water to easily cover, to create the tags two toned bow.

Mixed Media Sunflower Card

Sharing a card I made today with Stamploration Sketched Sunflower Stamp. I love sunflowers, one of my favorites. I stamped it twice on water color paper and colored with markers.
I stenciled the background with texture paste and colored with distress paints and stain. Adhered onto designer paper that I distressed with same colors. And embellished with buttons and white twine, that I also distressed to match card.

Art is...

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.

Tissue Wrapping Paper Applied With Mod Podge
I up-cycled a 20 oz can to hold my pencils & stuff. First I applied tissue wrapping paper with Mod Podge and let that dry, and then applied another layer. I loved the texture it gave. Then I applied white acrylic paint over it. Let that dry.
Colored over all with different Distress Paints. Did some sentiment stamping randomly, using black archival ink.
The Happy Flowers Stencil from ARTplorations was applied using texture paste mixed with some orange acrylic paint. Inspirational words were printed out and applied with glue stick to complete my altered can/pencil holder. One of my passions is to upcycle & alter!
