Live your Dream - Enjoy the Journey

I'm sharing a bookmark with you today that I made with a couple of my new products from Crafting Ability.
The tag/bookmark was covered with black paper to intensify the beautiful watercolors I was going to use.

Gansai  Tambi Starry Colors
Pretty shimmery golds was applied with my new watercolor brusH2o over ARtplorations Happy Flowers Stencil.

I used Red Gold & White Gold
I like the fact that the Starry Colors set comes apart so you can conveniently use them individually.

Live Your Dream-Enjoy the Journey
I brushed the white gold on the other side of my bookmark let dry, and sealed the watercolor with a matte medium, before stamping the sentiments using jet black archival ink.

My thoughts:
I found the water coloring brush to be not only easy to use, fill with water and your ready, eliminating the need for a brush and water (I could even write with it) but also it was very easy to clean.

BrusH20
I am in love with these two products by Crafting Ability!

I really enjoyed my first play with water colors!
And I will be exploring this new medium more!

Happy Daisy-Listen To Your Heart

listen to your heart

This tag finishes the trio of daisy tags I started. You can see the other two in previous posts. I do love the Happy Daisy stamp set by Stampendous! It was fun trying different color combos with the Bic Markers I just purchased. They are a step up from the last markers I had. But I'm still a ways off from graduating to Copics  I am afraid.
Markers used on the petals were fandango pink, petal pink, pink flamingo. Colored tags background with cracked pistachio distress stain and distressed in peeled paint. Stamping was done in jet black archival ink. Listen to your heart sentiment is from Tim Holtz stamp.

The Wonder of Flora

Tag was colored with peeled paint distress paint. I also used peeled paint to stencil on a vine pattern in the background. Stamping was done in black archival ink, and colored with markers. I didn't like the muddy color of my first stamped butterfly, so I changed it up by stamping and coloring another one on card stock, cutting it out and adhering it over the first one. I distressed some crinkle ribbon with the peeled paint too to create a bow for the tag.
